By the end of 2020, SOSITALIA had already started to incorporate new, young professionals to join, follow and lead us into 2021. With strong intentions of bursting into the new year with positive and dynamic force, having successfully conquered the COVID-19 challenges of 2020, SOSITALIA signed on a range of six young and enthusiastic talent that will surely bring fresh perspectives to the table as well as positive energy for the upcoming year.

Ranging from Zoomers to Millennials to Generation X, not all new team players are apprenticeship positions. Important roles have been given at managerial and strategic levels while other roles have been filled for entry-level positions.

SOSITALIA president Giovanni Pitturru says, “Newcomers are highly motivated and eager to make a difference. I believe they can revitalize the workplace and that the younger generations have a better ability to adapt faster to change. They have a natural affinity to quickly understand different technologies which differentiates them from other generations.”

SOSITALIA  hopes that these new employees bring great enthusiasm to the business and that they will be able to put their skills into practice and strengthen their work experience. Giovanni claims, “Without enthusiasm, you cannot generate adequate productivity nor encourage collaborative team-work. We look forward to seeing our teams develop and expand in all departments both giving and receiving support from each other.”

Business Development Manager since Dicember 2020

SOSIT TECH, a division of SOSITALIA, is being conducted by our new business development manager Ivan Prelli. Between Ivan’s strong charisma and his noteworthy professionalism, we firmly believe that he will introduce considerable business potential to SOSITALIA beyond the faucet industry in 2021.

Ivan speaks both Italian  and English fluently and worked for over 2 years in Onne, Port Harcourt and Ibadan, as project leader of a unique and high-quality construction company in Nigeria.

Chief Technical Officer (CTO) since January 2021

With a BA degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Andrea is not afraid of a challenge but actually welcomes it.

I was intrigued by Giovanni’s plans for both  SOSITALIA and UNIQ-Ǝ! projects.

      Andrea Medina

Andrea met Giovanni in 2016 when he had entered the additive manufacturing world from the aeronautic industry. Both he and Giovanni shared a common enthusiasm towards the immense potential that metal 3D printing was bringing to the various industries. “We shared some thoughts about its application in SOS business. Now it is time to join the SOS team and support their ambitious growth plans.”

When not managing his father’s vineyard, producing wine for an elite customer range, Andrea’s passion is traveling to new countries and learning about new cultures.

TRUST, PARTNERSHIP, SHARE, HARMONIZE, NETWORK, COLLABORATE, SUPPORT, WORK sopra il logo SOSITALIA dettaglia lo spelling del TEAMWORK

Coincidentally, this passion is shared among most of SOSITALIA‘s employees, many of whom have had the good fortune of fulfilling, thanks to the company’s eagerness to offer its employees travel opportunities to help gain better sight of where we operate, how we work and who we work with. Different cultures and mentalities are important to understand in a successful international business network. This continues to be a vital and valid quality SOSITALIA instills on its employees.

She joined SOSITALIA in 2000 as an apprentice Sales Assistant and has been with the company ever since. Born in San José, California, Natascha moved to Great Britain in the early 80’s and received her education in both the UK and in Lugano, Switzerland. Since 2020, Natascha has been documenting SOSITALIA’s fast evolution in metal 3D printing through their innovative UNIQ-Ǝ! brand, as well as the latest SOSiTTECH division by taking on a new role as Social Media and Communications Coordinator.

      SOSIT TECH at ISH 2019

In March 2019, SOSITALIA SRL participated at ISH Frankfurt with the SOSIT TECH division, exhibiting innovative solutions for the sanitary fittings industry, both in terms of shapes as well as materials.

SOSITALIA SRL intention was to present alternative raw materials such as 316L stainless steel, casted zamak bodies, as well as successfully exhibiting faucets produced with the non-traditional technique of additive production, metal 3D printing.

SOSIT TECH has achieved extraordinary success and the guests, astonished and intrigued by the products on display, appreciated the beauty of the shapes of the taps obtained through this technique of metal 3D printing.

In the months following the exhibition at ISH, SOSITALIA SRL has continued to explore new bathroom and kitchen faucet design possibilities that can be achieved with the most advanced industrial metallic 3D printers currently being used principally for aerospace and automobile industries but which today through SOSIT TECH offer freedom of shape and design to the faucet industry.

        Celebratyng 25 years SOSITALIA

SOSITALIA SRL celebrates 25 years of business. 25 years were spent as a partner of the most prestigious companies operating in the sanitary fittings production and its components. To celebrate this anniversary, SOSITALIA SRL launches the project  – EA BONA – (ACQUA BUONA/GOOD WATER)

          Progetto EA Bona SOSITALIA

New technologies and new uses of materials in the production of faucets and related components.

To celebrate SOSITALIA SRL 25 years of business, SOSITALIA SRL launches the ÈA BONA Project – (Acqua Buona/Good Water) in order to contribute towards the arising problems from national and international institutions concerning updated regulations on drinking water and environment protection.

“ÈA BONA” means GOOD WATER in the Sardinian Galluerese dialect, synonymous with spring water and therefore pure, natural water. Gallura, Sardinia is the place of origin of Giovanni Pitturru, owner of SOSITALIA.

View of the spring fountain of Aglientu, Sardegna
from whose rock flows a particularly fresh and pure water

The introduction of increasingly stringent norms in the use of some materials commonly used in the production of faucets and its components (lead, nickel, chromium), require significant changes to sanitary fittings manufacturers in the field of Public Health and Environment protection.

SOSITALIA SRL with the startup of the “ÉA BONA” (GOOD WATER) project wants to give its own contribution to the sanitary fittings industry to address the problems introduced by these regulations through new technologies and new uses of materials that are more sustainable for the environment and more suitable and healthy in the human consumption of drinking water.

Here are the proposals of our company:

PRODUCTION OF FAUCETS AND COMPONENTS THROUGH PRECISION CASTING IN STEEL 316L / 1.4404

New production boundaries are opening with this technology. Stainless steel 316L/1.4404 has no intolerable migration of alloying constituents like lead, nickel, chromium etc hence all the requirements of International Standards concerning drinking water for human consumption are met. Furthermore, by means of mirror polishing, a finish similar to chrome plating can be obtained without using nickel and chrome. Moreover it is possible to obtain excellent finishes by painting and PVD.

            Rubinetteria

PRODUCTION OF ZAMAK FAUCETS AND COMPONENTS

The technical evolution in the field of the sanitary fittings components production for zamak faucets has recently undergone a remarkable development that has brought very interesting results. The production of faucet bodies, even with complex shapes, together with the use of internal components in copper and steel to avoid contact between zamak and water, allow a lower use of raw material and a considerable saving in the various production processes and on the final production cost compared to the currently most used production system, that is, the one that uses brass. In addition, all the requirements of international drinking water standards for human consumption are met.

            Rubinetteria 2

            FINISHES

The finishes proposed are an alternative to galvanic treatments, nickel plating and chrome plating, which despite being traditionally used in the production of faucets, are now subject to strict regulations. They are steel MIRROR POLISHING, PAINTING and PVD. We also offer the PVD/DLC filtered PVD process (Diamond-Like-Carbon) never used previously in the faucet sector that guarantees hardness properties (about 5.300HV), and corrosion resistance even under particular conditions of use, such as highly saline environments, environments close to the sea, naval applications and laboratories.
