da Natascha Jacobsen
By the end of 2020, SOSITALIA had already started to incorporate new, young professionals to join, follow and lead us into 2021. With strong intentions of bursting into the new year with positive and dynamic force, having successfully conquered the COVID-19 challenges of 2020, SOSITALIA signed on a range of six young and enthusiastic talent that will surely bring fresh perspectives to the table as well as positive energy for the upcoming year.
Ranging from Zoomers to Millennials to Generation X, not all new team players are apprenticeship positions. Important roles have been given at managerial and strategic levels while other roles have been filled for entry-level positions.
SOSITALIA president Giovanni Pitturru says, “Newcomers are highly motivated and eager to make a difference. I believe they can revitalize the workplace and that the younger generations have a better ability to adapt faster to change. They have a natural affinity to quickly understand different technologies which differentiates them from other generations.”
SOSITALIA hopes that these new employees bring great enthusiasm to the business and that they will be able to put their skills into practice and strengthen their work experience. Giovanni claims, “Without enthusiasm, you cannot generate adequate productivity nor encourage collaborative team-work. We look forward to seeing our teams develop and expand in all departments both giving and receiving support from each other.”
SOSITALIA is proud to present its most recent arrivals:
Mauro Salvador
Purchase Manager since September 2020
With almost 13 years of purchasing experience behind him, Mauro came into SOSITALIA charged with energy and motivation, ready to negotiate and conquer international purchasing challenges.
In addition to Italian, he also speaks English and has quickly integrated into our international network. In fact, Mauro is looking forward to packing his suitcase and touring China and the rest of Asia in search of new suppliers and resources, which will hopefully be feasible in 2021.

What attracted me to SOSITALIA is the possibility of working and traveling throughout China, expanding my personal and professional experiences.
Mauro Salvador
Mauro is an avid reader and when he’s not buried in a book, you can find him at the stove practicing his culinary skills. Filling his lungs with air and pumping blood in his veins, he cycles or treks in the great outdoors surrounding the Alps.
Michael Donia
Amministration & IT since November 2020
Michael is our new-entry in the accounting department and will also undertake IT-related issues to support and resolve software maintenance or updates within the company for all employees.

“Spero di offrire alla SOSITALIA le mie migliori prestazioni lavorative, anche perché in un azienda come questa, in continuo sviluppo, è importante che i dipendenti al loro interno diano sempre il massimo per ottenere i migliori risultati.”
Michael Donia
In July 2020 Michael graduated from ITIS Leonardo da Vinci high school in Borgomanero with a diploma in administration, finance and marketing.
In his spare time, Michael plays defense for the Borgomanero football team, runs and cycles to keep in shape and aims to be hopefully back to the gym in 2021 when they reopen. He is a huge fan of the British period gangster series “Peaky Blinders” and has notably bad Karma with vending machines.
Jessica Tomasini
QA-R&D Technical Assistant since November 2020
From assembly to design, we’ve welcomed Jessica into our offices to take on more crucial roles that cements our SOSITALIA quality standard reputation.
With a high school diploma in Architecture & Environment from Liceo Artistico Felice Casorati, Jessica is eager to also show off her designing skill sets and we look forward to seeing her career develop further. She is a burst of energy for our technical department and approaches each project with great enthusiasm. Jessica has a passion for “engines”, especially motorbikes, and has been doing CrossFit for many years. She believes a character that represents her greatly is Top Gun’s Maverick; cocky, brave, and very likable.

““Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react”.“
Jessica was attracted to working in SOSITALIA by “the great collaboration behind the production of every single item” as well as “by the ability to see in perspective and identify with the future of the company.”
Of her hopes and dreams Jessica says, “I hope that every committed moment will be appreciated and that, together with the consideration of colleagues, it will lead to many advantages in favor of both the company as well as my own personal growth and satisfaction.”
Luca Donzelli
Assembly and purchasing assistant since December 2020
Although a new-entry level position in SOSITALIA, Luca is a fundamental link to our production chain, guaranteeing the timely arrival of component supply required in production and assembly.

SOSITALIA gave me the impression of being a really valid company with great future prospects.
Luca Donzelli
SOSITALIA has offered him to endeavor into a brand new position that will improve supply flow, and when asked what attracted Luca to taking on this position, he said, “The role I was offered matched my own characteristics and seemed very interesting right from the start.”
Luca was keen to join the SOSITALIA team as he says,“From the first interview, I realized that I could have the opportunity to work with professional people willing to teach me how best to do the job.”
Luca graduated in 2020 with a high school diploma in administration, finance and marketing from the C. Wojtyla Institute in Cassano Magnago. He enjoys travelling, gardening, cooking and sport in general, particularly football, to which he reveals himself as an AC Milan supporter. Luca also plays defense in the Borgomanero Football Academy alongside Michael.
Ivan Prelli
Business Development Manager since Dicember 2020
SOSIT TECH, a division of SOSITALIA, is being conducted by our new business development manager Ivan Prelli. Between Ivan’s strong charisma and his noteworthy professionalism, we firmly believe that he will introduce considerable business potential to SOSITALIA beyond the faucet industry in 2021.
Ivan speaks both Italian and English fluently and worked for over 2 years in Onne, Port Harcourt and Ibadan, as project leader of a unique and high-quality construction company in Nigeria.

What honestly attracted me to SOSITALIA is the view of a different future and the will to lead it instead of adapt to it.
Ivan Prelli
In his free time, Ivan doesn’t mess around; he’s a road biker, practices CrossFit, Enduro & motocross, and his “born to be wild” passion drove him to motorbike across Africa (Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Senegal, Niger, Cameroon, Congo). On one of his 4500km trips, from Nigeria to Niger and lower part of Sahara desert, Ivan experience a brutal reality of Africa when he was kidnapped for a day and robbed of almost everything he had. However, it didn’t stop him from saddling up for another 3500 km bike trip from Nigeria to Ghana, crossing Benin and Togo. Ivan declares himself a Sneaker Collector and has the best collection of brightly-colored socks.
Ingegnere Andrea Medina
Chief Technical Officer (CTO) since January 2021
With a BA degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Andrea is not afraid of a challenge but actually welcomes it.
He assumes the position of Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and manages of the R&D and QC departments so that SOSITALIA continues to have more room and adequate time for newer, more innovative projects for all three divisions; SOSITALIA, SOSIT TECH and UNIQ-Ǝ!

I was intrigued by Giovanni’s plans for both SOSITALIA and UNIQ-Ǝ! projects.
Andrea Medina
Andrea met Giovanni in 2016 when he had entered the additive manufacturing world from the aeronautic industry. Both he and Giovanni shared a common enthusiasm towards the immense potential that metal 3D printing was bringing to the various industries. “We shared some thoughts about its application in SOS business. Now it is time to join the SOS team and support their ambitious growth plans.”
When not managing his father’s vineyard, producing wine for an elite customer range, Andrea’s passion is traveling to new countries and learning about new cultures.

Coincidentally, this passion is shared among most of SOSITALIA‘s employees, many of whom have had the good fortune of fulfilling, thanks to the company’s eagerness to offer its employees travel opportunities to help gain better sight of where we operate, how we work and who we work with. Different cultures and mentalities are important to understand in a successful international business network. This continues to be a vital and valid quality SOSITALIA instills on its employees.
